HIKING THE INCREDIBLE FJORDS OF NORWAY A Nine-day Exclusive, Casto Escorted Tour July 19 - 28, 2009

Our grand tour begins in Bergen, gateway to Norway's spectacular fjords.

After a night in Bergen, we travel by high-speed boat through the dramatic Sognefjord.  We spend four nights at the Nes Gard farmhouses, an ideal jumping-off point for hikes into the mountains or onto glaciers.  A wide range of guided hikes will be available.

Leaving Nes Gard, we travel by bus over the spectacular Jotunheimen summit, arriving at the full-service Fefor Mountain Hotel, where we spend two nights.  Located on a beautiful lake in the center of Norway (between Gudbrands dal and Valdres), our guide will plan an all day hike from here.

Then we depart by train for two nights in Oslo, with plenty of free time to explore this captivating city.  A guided tour of the Munch museum has been arranged.
