Position Summary
We are looking for a Vacation Travel Specialist with a client base, to work with the Casto office in San Francisco as an Independent Contractor. Position requires representation of Casto Vacations in a positive, professional and ethical manner to both clients and vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming client requests by conducting travel planning, counseling, research, itinerary customization, document review/delivery, and post travel follow through
  • Seek, solicit and sell new travel clients using personal initiative as well as the sales and marketing support provided by Casto Vacations
  • Maintain accurate and complete client profiles, e-mail and mailing list information within Casto designated systems
  • Perform other travel consultant tasks and duties as assigned or as defined by management. Responsible for accurate invoicing of all reservations, (air, car, hotel etc.) for interface with the accounting system.
  • Maintain close, regular relationships with clients, key vendors and Casto's management team
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of Casto Vacations' preferred vendors and industry affiliations while continuously improving selling techniques and destination and product knowledge
  • Work diligently to sell preferred vendor products to maximize revenue
  • Participate in training and vendor relations sessions as reasonably required

Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years leisure travel agent experience
  • Ability to handle multifaceted projects
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Need to be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
