Looking to avoid flight complications? Here are some of the worst airports in the US and the world. If ever possible try to avoid traveling through these airports to get to your final destination. If that’s not possible we also have some tips on how to avoid travel delays and reduce the stress of travel.
Top 6 Worst U.S. Airports:
Chicago O’Hare
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Dallas Fort Worth, Texas
JFK, New York
Newark, New Jersey
Charlotte, North Carolina
Top 3 Worst International Airports:
Paris Charles De Gaulle, France
London Heathrow, England
Moscow Sheremetyevo, Russia
If you find yourself having to travel through these destinations than here are some tips to make your travels go more smoothly:
- Book morning flights, later in the day and night flights are usually rush hours.
- Consider the size of the airport. Ask yourself how far the gates are from each other.
- Try to pack light! Carry-on is always a better option because now airlines have a policy that one must travel on the plane their bag is checked, making it impossible to change flights.
- Whenever possible always opt for the non-stop flights.
- Avoid tight connections.
- Bring snacks and entertainment to pass the time
- You can also track airline and airport records on bts.gov, for stats on the amount of delayed or canceled flights they have had over the past year. Also visit avoiddelays.com, because the more informed you are the better your travels will be.
